- Zithrox suspension contains Azithromycin 200 mg/5ml which is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used in bacterial infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, and lungs (pneumonia). Zithrox is an antibiotic that works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.
- How to use
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve the powder in sterile water. Shake well before use. Zithrox Suspension 200 mg/5ml may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Precautions
- Zithrox Suspension 200 mg/5ml should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
