Description: Otrivin Nasal drops contain Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.05 % which provides effective relief from the blocked nose in children. It helps in moisturising dry nose and clears excess mucous from nasal cavity.
Otrivin has a vasoconstrictor action,which helps in decongestion of the nasal and pharyngeal mucosa and reduces breathing difficulties. It provides long lasting relief and is safe for children.
How to use: Children of age group 1-5 years should take 1-2 drops into each nostril once or twice in a day.
Children of age group 6-11 years should take 2-4 drops into each nostril twice or thrice in a day.
Dosage should be directed by the physician.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage
Precautions: Contraindications:
• Known hypersensitivity to Otrivine or any of the excipients.
• Concomitant use of other sympathomimetic decongestants.
• Inflammation of the skin and/or mucosa of the nasal vestibule.
• Trans-sphenoidal hypophysectomy or nasal surgery exposing the dura mater.
• Not to be used in children under the age of 6 years.
