- Montiget 5 mg tablets (chewable) contain montelukast which is used in asthma prevention,sneezing and runny nose due to allergies. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies.Take it in the evening for better control of asthma or allergies symptoms. Montiget is a relatively safe medicine with very few side effects. Take montiget 2 hours before exercising if you have exercise-induced asthma. Montiget will not work for sudden wheezing or asthma attacks once they start. Always carry a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler with you.
- How to use
- Montiget 5 mg Chewable tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Use it in the doses prescribed by your doctor.
- Precautions
- Montiget 5 mg Chewable Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. Montiget is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. but should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease.
