- VDM kit contains Fluconazole 150 mg, Azithromycin 1000 mg and Secnidazole 1000 mg used for syndromic treatment of vaginal discharge. Fluconazole is an antifungal which works by preventing the formation of the fungal protective covering which is essential for the survival of the fungi in the human body. Azithromycin is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Secnidazole is also an antibiotic which kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
- How to use
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. VDM Kit 150 mg/1000mg/1000mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
- Precautions
- VDM Kit Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy and should be used with caution during lactation. It is unsafe to use in patients with kidney disease and should be avoided. Common side effects during treatment with VDM kit include Vaginal itching, Altered taste, Vomiting, Vaginal infection, Headache, Dizziness, Stomach pain, Nausea, Indigestion, Diarrhea, Loss of appetite.
