- Primolut N tablets contains Norethisterone 5mg which is used in heavy menstrual bleeding, pain during menstruation, endometriosis and breast cancer.
Primolut-N 5 mg Tablet is a progestin (female hormone). It works to prevent pregnancy by temporarily stopping the release of an egg from the ovary, or preventing fertilization (union) of the egg by sperm. It may also alter lining of the uterus (womb) to stop a fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus. - How to use
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Primolut-N 5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Precautions
- Primolut-N 5 mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.It should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Common side effects are Headache, Dizziness, Breast tenderness, Nausea, Irregular menstrual cycle, Ovarian cysts.
