- Orelox 100 mg tablets contains Cefpodoxime 100 mg which is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used for short-term treatment of bacterial infections of urinary tract, skin and soft-tissue, ear, bone, blood, abdomen, genital and lungs (pneumonia). It is also used to prevent infections after surgery. Orelox 100 mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering which is needed for them to survive.
- How to use
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Orelox 100 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
- Precautions
- Orelox 100 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy and lactation. It should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease but is safe to use in patients with liver disease.
