- Montiget 10 mg tablets contains montelukast which is used for asthma prevention, Sneezing and runny nose due to allergies. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies.Take it in the evening for better control of asthma or allergies symptoms.Montiget is a relatively safe medicine with very few side effects. Take montiget 2 hours before exercising if you have exercise-induced asthma.Montiget will not work for sudden wheezing or asthma attacks once they start. Always carry a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler with you.
- How to use
- Do not chew, crush or break it. Montiget 10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Take this medication in the dose prescribed by your doctor.
- Precautions
- Montiget 10 mg tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. Montiget is safe to use in patients with kidney disease but should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. It is also safe for use in pregnancy and breast feeding upon consultation with your doctor.
