- Grabacin Ointment contains Polymyxin B sulfate ,bacitracin zinc and gramicidin which are used for the treatment of certain types of infections caused by bacteria.
The topical ointment can be used to treat certain skin infections such as infected wounds, burns, skin grafts, boils, and acne.
It can also be used to prevent catheter-related infections in people who receive hemodialysis. This medication works by killing the bacteria that cause these infections. - How to use
- Apply the ointment 1 to 3 times a day over the affected area. Cover with a dressing or leave exposed as directed by your doctor. Do not use the ointment in the eyes.
- Precautions
- Polymyxin B ,bacitracin -and gramicidin should not be used by anyone who is allergic to polymyxin B, bacitracin, gramicidin, or to any of the ingredients of the medication.
