Daktarin Oral Gel is an orange flavoured gel used to treat oral thrush.? Oral thrush (also known as oral candidiasis) is a fungal infection in the mouth.? It causes creamy white lesions on the tongue or inner cheeks but can spread to the roof of the mouth, the gums, tonsils, or throat.

How to use

Wash your hands before and after use.

Adults and children from 2 years up: Apply 2.5ml of gel four times daily after meals.? The gel should be carefully applied to the affected areas using a clean finger taking care not to apply it to the back of the throat.? Keep the gel in the mouth for as long as possible before swallowing.

Children aged between 4 months and 2 years: Apply 1.25ml of gel four times daily after meals.? The gel should be carefully applied to the affected areas using a clean finger taking care not to apply it to the back of the throat.? Keep the gel in the mouth for as long as possible before swallowing.

You should continue to use the gel until symptoms have cleared and continue for at least one further week.

If you wear dentures, these should be removed at night and brushed with the gel.
